On 07/13/2018 SSD responded to a call of distressed dogs locked in a vehicle. The outside temperature was 95 degrees. Three dogs were found locked in a hot vehicle with no water. Dogs were removed, cooled, and later returned to the owners, Sasha Brown and Rauline Martinez, by Animal Control.
On 07/20/2018 a citizen called animal control to report dogs chained up in a vehicle. Animal Control responded on 07/21/18 and found three dogs in a locked vehicle. All dogs were chained and secured in the vehicle in a way to not allow them to move. None of the dogs had water. The dogs were removed from the vehicle and one was found to have significant injuries to its neck due to the chain. All three dogs were confiscated.
Rauline Martinez has been arrested on this case. Her partner, Brown, has a felony warrant for Animal Cruelty. At the time of the incident, both subjects were residing in the area of Little Rock Drive and Black Bear Drive in Antelope, CA.
