On December 28, 2020, Placer County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 6600-block of Crown Point Vista in Granite Bay, for a report of suspicious circumstances.
When the deputies arrived at the home, later confirmed to be vacant, they observed 18 abandoned puppies. 15 puppies had been living inside a closet, with several blankets and food. Deputies also observed a water bowl in the center of the room. There was a considerable amount of urine and feces throughout the home, indicating the puppies were not being cared for.
Placer County Animal Control officers were called to rescue the puppies and take them to Placer County Animal Services in Auburn. The puppies are currently on a stray hold and being evaluated, but we hope they will all find loving homes in the new year!
