On March 27, 2023, at approximately 10:00 PM, the victim and a woman named Andrea were walking on Arden Way and Professional Drive. They walked across the crosswalk at from the north side of the street to the south at the entrance into the Safeway parking lot. A witness said some words were exchanged with the driver of the pictured Escalade. The Escalade is seen on video pulling into the driveway, stopping, and a Black male got out. He pointed at the victim, then a flash was seen, and the victim collapsed. A blond White female was a passenger and may be his girl friend.
Victim was shot in the upper torso area. He is alive but possibly paralyzed from the waist down.
On March 27, 2023, at approximately 1:15 PM, a postal carrier was robbed of his keys and phone on Oberon Ave, North Highlands, CA 95660. The suspect was armed and fled east on foot. A witness saw the suspect jump into the passenger side of a white four-door Toyota Corolla.
The carrier described the suspect as a white male adult, approximately 5' 06" tall, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, with white and black Jordan XII shoes. The carrier had noticed the suspect walking on foot on Harrison St. approximately 15 to 30 minutes prior to the robbery.
The suspect vehicle was seen in the area prior to the robbery, and may have remained in the area shortly afterwards. A witness described the driver of the vehicle as a white male adult.
On December 19, 2022, two suspects burglarized a business in Orangevale while it was closed. They broke out the store’s front window, wrapped a metal cable around a Bitcoin ATM machine inside, and used a white Ford F250 pickup truck to pull the ATM out of the store. Property Crimes detectives later identified the white Ford F250 pickup truck and determined it belonged to Dylan Kunin.
On March 14, 2023, detectives and deputies served a search warrant at Dylan Kunin’s residence in Rio Linda. They found Dylan Kunin wearing the headlamp and shoes he was wearing during the burglary. They also found a metal cable, consistent with the one used during the burglary, in the yard of the residence. Dylan Kunin was arrested and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail for burglary and conspiracy.
Detectives are still investigating this case and working towards identifying the second suspect.
